Sergei SHARSHOUN

Sergei Sharshoun, later known in France as Serge Charchoune, was a Russian-born painter and poet often credited as the first Russian Dadaist. Born in Buguruslan, he moved to Paris in 1912, studied under Henri Le Fauconnier, and moved through Cubist, Dada and Orphist circles over a long expatriate career. He continued painting in France until his death in 1975.
