Natalia GONCHAROVA

Natalia Goncharova was a Russian avant-garde painter, costume and set designer, illustrator and writer, and a founding member of the Jack of Diamonds and Donkey's Tail exhibiting groups. Working alongside her lifelong partner Mikhail Larionov, she co-developed Rayonism and became one of the most prominent women artists of the Russian avant-garde. She relocated to Paris in 1921, where she continued designing for the Ballets Russes and painting until her death in 1962.
